Champions Manchester City fell eight points behind Liverpool in the title race after suffering a shock home defeat Wolves.
Adama Traore scored in the final 10 minutes as Wolves won in the top flight.
Traore scored the first 10 minutes as the people capitalised on a mistake from Joao Cancelo. He also added a second deeply in injury time.
City have dropped five points of this season, having dropped only three at seven the year and the whole of last year .
When he first struck the pub with a second-half free-kick david Silva came closest for the hosts. Raheem Sterling needed a shot blocked in the scramble that followed.
It was only the second time at 45 league matches which City have failed to score. The last time that occurred in the league at home had been in May 2018, by which time they had won their first name of their Guardiola era.
Traore had not scored since September 2018 however, the #18m man made no mistake as Wolves twice broke clear. Raul Jimenez provided the assist.
It is 20 years since kindly past defeat City away from 40 and Molineux since they did from the best flight. The effect of this victory could have a significant bearing on the title race, so so fine are the margins in the conflict between the champions and leaders Liverpool.
Wolves and city had been participated in European combat and also the fact City had been instead of travelling 4,000 miles to Turkey and rear – and had an additional two days rest, have to have granted them a clear advantage.
They didnt make the most of it was almost entirely due to their own failings.
Wolves forwards were permitted to run free few times in the opening half, down the center of the pitch through even the latter man, or lost passes by Riyad Mahrez or Nicolas Otamendi needlessly charging from position.
Patrick Cutrone screwed one opportunity broad and Jimenez seemed to be trimmed from the playground by Fernandinho, costing him a opportunity. In between, both guys were, refused by Fernandinho operating as a makeshift central defender with a glorious block.
City thought they had survived the worst. However, as they pushed for a winner they are eventually cost by their errors.
This moment, Cancelo lost ownership, letting Jimenez on. As Otamendi slipped, the Mexican wrapped the ball to Traore, who finished.
Traores speed was too much for them, Since the desperation of City increased. And in the last minute of stoppage time, Jimenez fed the #18m signing when he was on Teesside from Middlesbrough, who finished his first dual as February 2018.
Why are Citys issues already insurmountable?
This is the afternoon when they were caught up with by Citys injury issues.
Its tempting to dismiss Guardiolas travails .
After all, City could afford to leave Bernardo Silva along with Gabriel Jesus to the bench, and managed to give a Premier League introduction in the summer.
Nevertheless, with no Kevin de Bruyne and Leroy Sane, they are being robbed of creativity and not having central defenders Aymeric Laporte and John Stones frees them goodwill. It feels as though the problems they face in this name combat are insurmountable.
Cancelos choice at left-back meant Guardiola had picked on four players . Among these , Benjamin Mendy, hasnt started back-to-back Premier League games for 11 weeks and is facing a different spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury .
Cancelo did OK through the introductory period. Apparently, that wasnt great enough for Guardiola, that changed the Italian to right-back at the break – forfeiting Kyle Walker at the process three times after he was left out of the latest England squad – and also brought Oleksandr Zinchenko on rather.
There was marginal improvement. Nevertheless, it was restricted. And that Cancelo created the mistake that gave anglers the benefit they were never to lose, simply emphasized the results of this City weakness thats been exposed.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola tells BBC Sport:We were not at our best. We had chances to score but it was a day and the match was lost by us.
We did not create good procedure, we had problems in that sense. Were a team which plays a specific manner but it is a bad day, that happens sometimes.
If you win games, you consider the other one. Now weve got the worldwide break, then we could return and visit another games.
More to follow.
Would the breakfast be a miracle cure?
